I am a Senior Environment, Lookdev, Lighting artist and 3D Generalist with an eye for detail and photo-realism, working in the SF Bay area. With a background in film, traditional art and design, I have over 15 years of professional experience in Animation and Visual Effects, on over 40 feature film and television projects, and dozens of high-end commercials. I’m used to wearing many hats and can work as part of a larger pipeline, or take a project from concept to completion with minimal supervision.

My workflow involves breaking reference down into surface properties, and meticulously recreating those through shading, lighting, texturing, displacement, modeling and rendering. I am also experienced in on-set VFX supervision, photogrammetry, stereoscopic compositing, 3D sculpting, character rigging, 3D animation, physics simulation, particle systems, camera animation, storyboarding, traditional animation, concept design, and visual development.

Senior Lighting TD / Environment Generalist at Tippett Studio

June 2015 – Present

Created large environments in Clarisse, Katana, and Unreal Engine on a variety of ride film, VR and TV projects. Responsible for lighting characters in Katana and optimizing renders in Renderman. Responsible for assembling scenes from hundreds of assets, integrating lookdev, animation and fx simulation into a cohesive whole. Responsible for optimizing renders to achieve efficient render times while maintaining a high level of quality.
